Backups that actually restore

Ransomware starts by deleting the backups. Ours cannot be encrypted or deleted, and we test them by restoring, not just by checking that they ran.

What is included

Backups built for the worst day

The day someone logs in with valid credentials, the first thing they go after is the backups. This is how ours are built to resist and to come back.

Immutable and offline backups

For the agreed period the copy cannot be altered or deleted, not even with administrator credentials, and one of the copies lives outside your site. We follow the 3-2-1 rule: several copies, on different media, one of them off-site.

What we protect

Servers, virtual machines, databases and Microsoft 365: mail, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams. Microsoft keeps the service running, but backing up your data is your responsibility.

Disaster recovery as a service

If your data centre becomes unavailable, critical systems come up in the cloud with what they need to keep operating while the site is recovered.

Regular restore tests, with a report

We do not call a backup good because it finished: we restore it in a test environment and hand over a report of what came back, how long it took and what failed.

Continuity plan

We define what gets recovered first, who decides in a crisis and how the team and customers are told.

How we work

From inventory to regular testing

Without agreed objectives there is no recovery: there is a copy nobody knows will work.

1. Inventory and recovery objectives per system

We review which systems exist, which are critical and what recovery objective makes sense for each one. It is agreed per system with each client, not imposed from a table.

2. Design

We choose what is copied, how often, where it is stored and how the copy is isolated from production.

3. Implementation

We set up the backups and the recovery infrastructure with the tools that fit your environment.

4. First restore test with the client

We restore in front of you, onto a real system, and measure what is missing and what needs adjusting.

5. Regular testing

We repeat the tests at the agreed interval, and after significant changes, with a report for each one.

Common questions

Questions about Backup and disaster recovery

Does Microsoft 365 not back up my data already?
It keeps the service running, not a copy of your data against deletions, ransomware or mistakes. If a mailbox is deleted or a SharePoint site is encrypted, recovery is your responsibility.
What does immutable mean?
That during the agreed period nobody can modify or delete it, not even with administrator credentials.
How often do you test recovery?
At the interval agreed in the plan, and always after significant changes.
Can you recover a single file?
Yes, from a single file to a whole system.
